Roche-la-Molière's towers and ramparts have stood on a sandstone hillock for over 8 centuries. Prominent families owned the château during the middle ages and it underwent some changes in the 15th and 18th centuries.

Owned during the Middle Ages by important families, the château underwent a certain amount of conversion between the 15th and 18th centuries. It comprises one of the few remaining examples of medieval architecture in the immediate area of Saint-Etienne which is open to the public. There, you will find towers, curtains, hourds and machicolations…
