Église Saint-Pancrace - bourg

Elevation : 386m
17 place Abbé Blard, 42340 Veauche
Saint Pancras church houses a 15th century saint’s arm reliquary.
The building dates back to the pre-Roman period of the second half of the 10th century. It was rebuilt in the 16th century in a flamboyant Gothic style and its choir and nave reflect this style.
The porch and walls of the first 2 aisles are all that remain of the original church.
The walls are decorated with small arcades between columns topped by eight patterned capitals.

The church also houses a Baroque style Assumption altarpiece in the left chapel beneath the bell tower. The sculpted wood altarpiece is of angels adoring the Eucharist and dates back to the 18th century.
