Going through the entrance by the listed façade of the Hôtel de Ville, you enter the park through an initial courtyard made up of numerous columns. Behind, the park encourages a moment of relaxation or games with the family in the centre of town.
In 2013, 5 totems (a mixture of wood, metal and clay) have been created by a local ceramicist, Dominique BAJARD, and installed in the Parc Nelson Mandela: a headstone displays a portrait of Nelson Mandela, moulded in relief and surrounded by a crowd; the second and third evoke the struggle, reunification in peace; the fourth and fifth have murals on which phrases and quotes from Nelson Mandela appear.
