According to the land register, the chapel’s plot is semi-circular on the southern side and was the site of an ancient stone circle
called "Korn", a former site of worship. It is said that Saint-Pierre de Montmeyn Chapel was built by Renaud de Montrond on his return from the Crusades in 1324. Up until the Revolution, the building did not have any owners : no diocese, no monastery, no individual. Today, the Association des Amis de Saint-Pierre watch over this chapel.
