So who's the best? Why, the greens of course! This is the refrain that every Saint-Étienne supporter worth their salt has in their head, and to relive the legendary club's epic history, what could be better than a trip to the club museum, the Musée des Verts, at the mythical "Cauldron" stadium.

The first French museum dedicated to a soccer team—and what a team! It traces the club’s history: from its creation by Geoffroy Guichard—founder of the Casino company and the man behind A.S. Saint-Étienne—through the early successes of the 1950s, and of course the famous era of Les Verts in the 1970s, right up to the present day. We all have a little bit of Saint-Étienne in us; every generation will find a memorable moment here: the famous square goalposts, Rachid Mekloufi’s cleats—worn during the 1968 French Cup final—the League Cup won in 2013, and the pennant from the 100th derby (won by the Verts!). In short, whether you’re a fan or just curious, come relive the highlights of a legendary club! Completely renovated in late 2021, the museum now features a revamped exhibition design that awaits visitors! Every year, a temporary exhibition highlights a new aspect of soccer history and/or the history of ASSE. In 2025, the temporary exhibition will be dedicated to Philippe Masseguin, the club’s former photographer, who sadly passed away in 2019.

Directions by car: Exit 14 (Stade-Geoffroy Guichard) off the A72.
