Stop off in Néronde to explore its narrow streets and discover the Place du Pilori and the half-timbered houses of this medieval village.
Starting from Balbigny, the route leaves the plain and heads into the first foothills of the Monts du Lyonnais, reaching the outskirts of Néronde. After crossing the valley, you arrive at the Mondon Tower, a dovecote dating from 1801 that overlooks the Forez plain. From here, you can see Balbigny below and the peaks of the Forez mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. The route continues through valleys and wooded hills to Pouilly-lès-Feurs before finishing with a stretch across the plain.
