An enjoyable route with information panels along the way telling the fascinating story of the Monorail.

Leaving Panissières, the route climbs onto the surrounding ridges before reaching the hamlet of Le Roule. Broad tracks then offer magnificent views over the Forez plain and mountains as they lead to the Romanesque chapel of La Valette, an ideal spot for a break. From here to the finish, you follow the former Monorail line, a railway that attempted to link Feurs and Panissières in the late 19th century.
