A stop at the medieval site of Donzy, a gem of Forez-Est, is a must.

Leaving Salt-en-Donzy, the route heads to the magnificent site of Donzy, home to the remains of a medieval fortress. An easy, fast-flowing section then follows the former Monorail line to La Valette chapel. Beyond the hamlet, the climb to the village of Jas begins, followed by a steep descent into the valley to the hamlet of Pizay. The route returns to the village along the Doise valley.
