The route is divided into two sections. The first is fairly easy, while the second is more demanding, crossing meadows and woodland over rolling terrain.

The first, between Saint-Martin-Lestra and the hamlet of La Morinée, is fairly easy, providing a warm-up for the more demanding second section through rolling meadows and woodland. Before reaching the village of Saint-Martin-Lestra, roughly halfway along the route, you pass the restored washhouse, a living reminder of rural traditions. Every spring, local residents would gather here for the communal laundry wash, known as “la buille” in the local dialect.
