After a fairly smooth, downhill opening stretch, the trail soon joins the Way of St James along the Coise. After crossing the road to Chevrières, you climb into Pulchère Wood via a fairly technical but relatively short section. You can then recover over 5 km of flat terrain, alternating between country lanes and grassy tracks, before descending to the D1089. Cross carefully, then tackle the steep 11% climb on the other side. The final section features some enjoyable short climbs and descents leading to the outskirts of Chazelles-sur-Lyon.
